It's 4:00 a.m. in Winnemucca and Bob is sound asleep. I woke up at 3:30 so decided to logon and get caught up on e-mails and this blog...besides, I had't had a chance to read Bob's last "Blah Blog" and was curious about all the typing he did. We lucked out at the Walnut Grove Library with their WIFI. This RV park also has WIFI but I couldn't get logged on last night. We arrived here around 4:00 p.m., stopped at a Raleys for something to fix for dinner, found the RV park and got all set up. After dinner we headed to the pool to cool down (it was 100 degrees when we arrived here) and watch the beautiful sunset.
This morning I moved the laptop all over the living room to find a good connection to the internet....it's sitting on 4 stacked boxes of my genealogy "stuff" and FOP "stuff"...allowing me my chance to blog. We left Walnut Grove around 9:00 a.m. on Sunday. We had a really good time visiting with Aunt Marion and told her we'd be back (will post photo of us parked in front of Landing 63 and others when I have time). Having never traveled east from Sacramento or over Donner Pass we really enjoyed the scenery. Once out of the beautiful mountains, past Reno, we arrived in the desert. If you've ever driven from Las Vegas to Lake Tahoe you know what I'm talking about. Bob insisted I take a photo of the mountains 30 or more miles off in the desert while we were traveling 60 mph...so I'll post that for your entertainment.
It's nice to be on the road again. Bob suggested we spend a couple days in Salt Lake so I can do genealogy research...sounded GREAT to me...so I think that's our next stop (or somewhere close to there).
